Dandelion by the Hills

Happily settled in their IT jobs, the founders didn't know what a rollercoaster the pandemic was about to put them into! 

During the lockdown, when WFH became a new way of living, our founder couple decided to manage their jobs from their hometown, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.  Enjoying the new way of life away from the buzzing city life; the fresh air, the blue sky, green mountains, yoga, mountain biking became a new normal for them.

Despite all of this and lockdowns one after the other, everyone missed the mouthwatering street food delights. So guess what, they decided to start a home kitchen 'Foodie by Nature' serving delicious home-made dishes from Pizzas to Tandoori Chicken in absolute restaurant style! While sir managed the kitchen, ma'am took care of the logistics and delivery!  What a wonderful role reversal!

With good reviews coming in from the customers, they were encouraged to take one step further towards their dream of running their own café / restaurant someday!

The hunt for a perfect place started and they happened to come across Lakhwar,  a place they had never heard of before, but one visit and they fell in love with the place. It looked like a even bigger dream! A place which could be more than just a café or restaurant!

And thus, started the journey of building Dandelion by the Hills in December 2020. 

"While hardships are a part of every journey towards a dream, the most difficult was to let my wife manage the house and our two little children on her own, while I worked day night to make our dream a reality"

 It is December 2021, and after couple of test runs we have officially started welcoming guests from January 2022, to this hidden wonderland in Uttarakhand!
